The government has set up special RM500 million fund, called the Special Relief Guarantee Facility (SRGF), to help businesses affected by the floods, the fund available until March 31, 2007.

The SRGF loan are for businesses in the areas identified by the National Security Division under the Prime Minister's Department as being flood disaster zone. The facility is to be used only to purchase equipment damaged or  as Working capital, and cannot be used to refinance existing loans.

Businesses eligible for this new loan, however, are only those owned by Malaysians or registered under the Companies Act, Societies Act, Co-operative Societies Act and Registration of Businesses Act.
